Beijing International Glasses Building (formerly Beijing Glasses City) is China's earliest specialized wholesale market for eyewear. Its predecessor was Beijing Glasses Factory and Beijing No. 2 Glasses Factory; the specialized eyewear market was founded here in 1991, and Phase I of the building was completed and opened on December 28, 2003. It is located near Panjiayuan Bridge on the East Third Ring Road, adjacent to the famous Panjiayuan Antique City to the south and 2 kilometers from China World Trade Center to the north.

The market covers a site area of more than 19,000 square meters, with a Phase I floor area of about 30,700 square meters (about 54,000 square meters under the overall plan), 11 floors above ground and 2 basement floors. Floors 1 to 4 contain retail shops and can accommodate 500 merchants; according to public reports, the market now gathers nearly 700 merchants. Floors above the 5th are office space, but there are also many merchants offering eye exams and eyewear fitting, and these services are available up to the 10th and 11th floors.

The market covers eyewear, lenses, frames, accessories, and more from famous brands nationwide and worldwide, with a complete range of domestic and international brands. In recent years, to meet social demand, merchants in the building have been transforming in large numbers into eye exam and eyewear fitting services, and most of them can now provide optometry and fitting services (some areas have historically remained wholesale-focused). Sales are mainly wholesale nationwide, supplemented by retail, but with the development of market demand, most merchants can now sell retail and fit prescription glasses.

Mingjingyuan & Zhaojia Glasses City is located at Building 43, Huawei Beili, Chaoyang District, right next to Exit A of Panjiayuan Subway Station, only a 110-meter walk away. The building contains two major glasses market areas: Mingjingyuan Glasses Market and Zhaojia Mingpin Glasses Market (for the specific floor layout, please refer to the on-site directory). Mingjingyuan is operated and managed by Beijing Mingwang Yongguang Glasses Co., Ltd. (which took over in 2022 and reopened after renovation on August 18, 2022). The building has 4 floors plus a basement level, with a total building area of over 10,000 square meters and an operating area of nearly 7,000 square meters, offering wholesale sales of various eyeglass frames, sunglasses, contact lenses, and various types of lenses.

Inside the market there are several professional optometric centers, and some shops provide optometry and eyewear fitting services.

There is a 400-square-meter parking lot in front of the market. The market is smaller than the International Glasses Building, but it is right next to Exit A (northwest) of Panjiayuan Station on Subway Line 10 (about a 110-meter walk), making transportation more convenient.
