Smart Glasses: Prescription Lenses
Some smart glasses models support prescription lenses, in different ways: most Chinese brands use official online lens-fitting, while display-equipped AR flagships need a custom version or a separate adapter frame. This page covers what to confirm beforehand, the prescription data you need, and three ways to get lenses fitted.
Confirm the model supports prescription lenses
Audio glasses and lightweight display models usually support lens fitting; display-equipped AR flagships mostly need a custom version or a separate adapter frame. Of the 17 models in our ranking, 14 use official online lens-fitting, StarV AR does not support it, and the Xiaomi MIJIA Enjoy Edition requires you to visit a store to have lenses installed.
Prepare your prescription data
Sphere (SPH), cylinder (CYL), axis (AXIS), and pupillary distance (PD); progressives also need the addition (ADD).
Choose a lens-fitting route
1) Official online fitting: contact the store's customer service, submit your prescription, and the manufacturer processes the lenses and ships them with the glasses (most Chinese brands work this way); 2) have lenses installed at a local optical shop (requires an adapter frame); 3) buy a custom version with prescription lenses built in.
Notes
High prescriptions and high astigmatism may be restricted; before buying, confirm whether the lenses block the display area or sensors, and whether smart features are affected after fitting. For the exact process, ask customer service.
